The 7Corners centre provides a place where young people can meet in safety, find help for personal development and receive support if in crisis. Working closely with regional and national organisations such as Gap, Fusion, Wallich, Teen Challenge and CAB we provide a comprehensive service for the youth of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire (Gwent).

The 7Corners Centre is the vision of a local charity The Bridge to Cross Charitable Trust. The trustees, who have a wealth of experience, are all local to Abergavenny and they share a passion for the young people of the town and surrounding area.

Founded in September 2000 The Bridge to Cross Charitable Trust set about finding a suitable venue and raising the funds to realise their vision. In May of 2002 three retail units in Seven Corners Lane became available and after the suggestion from some of the young people, the Trustees entered negotiations to purchase the freehold. In August 2002 the negotiations were completed and in September 2002 contractors appointed to carry out refurbishment. The building was opened in May 2003.

The Trustees funded the purchase & refurbishment costs to create the centre that today provides a Cafe, IT suite, Chillout/Meeting room, dedicated counselling suite and an Admin Office. Ongoing funding is by way of donations from local people, Churches, Businesses, fund-raising events and volunteers.

In September 2007, The HSBC Bank, Abergavenny branch, funded a new cinema system so that the young people could watch films on a Friday night. Film Friday is run as an alternative to the ever increasing under-age binge drinking on a Friday evening that is prevalent in Britain today.
